ALUMINUM TOE
All Wolverine Aluminum Toe work boots will display this symbol to let you know the work boot has an aluminum safety toe cap that meets or exceeds the current industry safety standard ASTM F2413-11 for impact and compression. It will protect against injuries from heavy objects that may drop onto, or roll over, the feet.
ELECTRICAL HAZARD (EH) RATED
All Wolverine work boots that have Electrical Hazard (EH) protection will display this symbol to let you know the work boot meets or exceeds the current industry safety standard ASTM F2413-11
STATIC DISSIPATING
All Wolverine work boots and work shoes that are rated to be Static Dissipating (SD) have been built using special construction and have special outsoles that are engineered to help prevent static build-up on uninsulated surfaces. This protects sensitive electronics and circuitry from static discharge, both at home and in the work place.
SLIP RESISTANT
All Wolverine work boots and work shoes that are rated Slip Resistant (SR) will display this symbol and will provide you with secure footing and traction on slick, wet terrain, or on any oily or slippery surface.
HEAT RESISTANT
All Wolverine work boots and work shoes that are rated to be Heat Resistant (HR) have outsoles that can withstand extreme temperatures on the job.
WATERPROOFING
All Wolverine boots and shoes that display this symbol have been engineered to keep feet comfortably dry in a variety of environments.
WATERPROOF PLUS
All Wolverine boots and shoes that display this symbol are engineered to be 100% waterproof. They are made to have Wolverine's own highly breathable internal waterproof membrane that assures that your feet stay dry by locking out water, while simultaneously letting excess heat and perspiration to escape from the boots. This results in dry, comfortable feet on any job site.
GORE-TEX® WATERPROOFING
All Wolverine boots that carry this symbol have internal GORE-TEX® fabric that makes them 100% waterproof, yet super breathable. Perspiration is allowed to escape through the membrane, while water is unable to get in, so feet stay dry from weather and dry from sweat. Gore-Tex is recommended for use when working under the harshest of environments.
METATARSAL (MET) GUARD
All Wolverine boots having this tag will have either an internal, or an external Met Guard built in to protect the sensitive Metatarsal Bones that sit on the top of the feet. Met Guards are protective plates that absorb impact to the tops of the feet.
PUNCTURE RESISTANT
Wolverine Puncture Resistant (PR) work boots and work shoes meet ASTM F2413-11 PR, CSA Z192-02 and EN ISO 20345: 2004 standards with an internal insole, reducing chances of of puncture wounds to the bottom of the feet.
INSULATION
Wolverine work boots are equipped with a variety of technologies, with different levels of insulating heat properties such as 3M Thinsulate Insulation, which is less bulky than traditional work boot insulation. Wolverine work boots will provide you with just the right amount of warmth that your feet will need to stay warm on the job.
3M™ THINSULATE ULTRA INSULATION
Wolverine boots with 3M Thinsulate ULTRA Insulation will display this symbol. Thinsulate ULTRA is a mid-loft blend that is much thinner than other types of insulation, so it will not hamper your foot's natural movement. It will retain its insulating value even in the dampest of weather conditions and it also offers more warmth and soft comfort than the its original version.
PRIMALOFT 360° INSULATION
All Wolverine boots that feature Primaloft Insulation provide 360 degrees of Zonal Insulation that surrounds the foot with warmth. These boot utilize 400g PrimaLoft® Aerogel insulation around key areas of the feet, toes, and under the footbed, keeping feet warm from heel to toe.
