Matterhorn Work Boot Technology
Matterhorn's Steel Toe work boots meet the ASTM F2413 standard for protective footwear. The Steel Toes will offer Impact Protection and Sustained Pressure Protection.
NON-METALLIC SAFETY TOE
Matterhorn Non-Metallic Safety Toe work boots are built for environments where steel is not appropriate, with the added benefit that they will not conduct heat or cold into the inside of the boots. These work boots meet the ASTM F2413 standards for protective footwear.
Matterhorn's Aluminum Toes work boots are lightweight, but meet the same ASTM F2413 standard as Steel and Composite Toe boots to protect feet from impact and compression.
Matterhorn's work boots that have a Cambrelle Lining have an abrasion-resistant fabric lining, with Rapid Moisture Release Technology capabilities, with excellent moisture-wicking properties to help keep feet dry from sweat down within the boots.
Matterhorn's work boots that are made with Kevlar® have cut-resistant synthetic fiber panels that give boots extraordinary toughness. Kevlar is a material made of rugged fibers that have maximum tenacity, high tensile strength that reinforces the work boots while also providing thermal stability.
ELECTRICAL HAZARD (EH) RATED
Matterhorn's boots with an Electrical Hazard (EH) Rating have been tested by an independent lab to withstand applications of 18,000 volts at 60hz for one minute without leakage. EH boots are a secondary form of protection. Electrical Workers must also use primary forms of protection per OSHA standards: 29 CFR 1910.137; 29 CFR 1910.269(l); and 29 CFR 1926.950(c).
Matterhorn boots that have the Tiger Tip designation have a Rubber Toe Guard with a raised ridge. This patented high-abrasion boot tip - a Matterhorn innovation - provides superior protection and extends the life of the boot.
Matterhorn work boots with Scubaliner Waterproofing Technology have an impenetrable Internal Membrane, which allows small air molecules to pass through while blocking and keeping out much larger water molecules so feet stay dry and comfortable.
Matterhorn boots that are Puncture Resistant have built-in Stainless Steel Bottom Plates inserted between the insoles and the outsoles to prevents nails and other sharp objects from penetrating into the bottom of the feet.
