The Anti-Fatigue Advantage

Timberland PRO is Timberland's trades-focused line, built around Anti-Fatigue Technology for comfort across a long shift. The inverted-cone midsole compresses and rebounds with each step, targeting fatigue in the ball, arch, and heel instead of flattening out. That comfort platform runs across the whole line, from lightweight athletic work shoes to heavy-duty mining boots. The technology holds up on warehouse aisles, factory floors, and everywhere in between.

Every Toe Type and Rating in the Lineup

Timberland PRO covers all four safety toe options: steel, alloy, composite, and soft toe. Steel, alloy, and composite meet ASTM F2413 for impact and compression protection, with different weight and metal-detector tradeoffs across the three. Soft toe styles skip the safety cap for jobs where impact protection is not required.

Beyond the toe cap, select styles add electrical hazard (EH), electrostatic dissipative (ESD), metatarsal guard, puncture-resistant, heat-resistant, or blood-borne pathogen protection. Direct Attach construction molds the outsole directly to the upper for a sealed waterproof bond, and Vibram compounds show up on select outsoles for extended wear on uneven surfaces.

Out on the Job

Timberland PRO shows up across a wider mix of trades than most work boot brands, from construction and warehouse work to medical settings and cleanroom environments. The blood-borne pathogen and ESD ratings on select styles fit healthcare, lab, and electronics work that most work boots do not cover, and the men's and women's lineups give both sizes real options instead of scaled-down men's boots.

Timberland PRO FAQs

Answers to what shoppers ask most before ordering.

What is Timberland PRO?
Timberland PRO is Timberland's work-footwear line, launched in 1999 for the trades. The collection covers steel, alloy, composite, and soft toe styles across work boots, wellingtons, mining boots, and low-cut safety shoes for men and women.
What sizes and widths do Timberland PRO boots come in?
Timberland PRO's fit runs true for most people, with medium as the standard width and wide available across much of the lineup. Extra wide shows up less often and varies by style. The size and width filters above show what is currently in stock for each pair.
Are Timberland PRO boots waterproof?
It depends on the style. Waterproof pairs usually rely on Direct Attach construction, which fuses the outsole to the upper for a sealed bond, sometimes paired with a waterproof membrane inside the boot. Non-waterproof styles may still use treated leather that handles light rain but is not built for standing water.
What is Timberland PRO Anti-Fatigue Technology?
Anti-Fatigue Technology is the inverted-cone midsole that shows up across most of the line, designed to compress and rebound with each step instead of flattening out over a shift. If you stand on concrete or hard floors all day, this is the feature to look for. A well-broken-in pair adds to the comfort, and our How to Break in Leather Work Boots guide covers the fastest way to get there without ruining the leather.
Do Timberland PRO boots meet ASTM safety standards?
Every steel, alloy, and composite toe pair on this page meets ASTM F2413 for impact and compression. Beyond the toe cap, individual styles add EH, ESD, met guard, puncture-resistant, or heat-resistant ratings depending on what the boot is built for. For a closer look at which ratings matter for your job, our Best Work Boots for Electricians guide walks through EH and safety ratings for electrical work.
